ABOUT Leaderstew

Thanks for stopping by! I started this blog because I think the conversation around leadership leans too heavily on developing skills, and not enough on what leadership actually looks like in practice—who's really doing it, and what it takes to achieve meaningful outcomes.
I've been in and out of formal leadership roles for 35 years, and I'm currently studying Organizational Leadership at university. Between the real-world experience and academic perspective, I keep noticing how much of what we're told about leadership - what I gobbled up as an up-and-coming leader - just doesn't match what actually happens.
With this blog, I offer those observations and explore what leadership looks like when you strip away the buzzwords and corporate-style frameworks. If you're curious about the messier, more human side of leading, I hope you find something useful here.
